DK - Bench with hydraulic brake

Saenz engine dynos are designed for professional engine testing. Since 1974 we have been manufacturing smooth control, robust, safe and low maintenance hydraulic brakes. Equipped with Smac data acquisition system with automatic control of RPM and motor torque that allows to perform tests with maximum precision, sensitivity and repeatability.

We build different versions, with hydraulic brake and inertial wheel. Both versions are versatile designs adaptable to any karting and/or motorcycle engine. These benches do not require installation.

DK - Bench with hydraulic brake
DK bench includes a DR1 brake that has the advantage of a low inertia aluminum rotor which deliver an excellent control and response on small engines. Coupling to the engine is by chain with protector and with an interchangeable gear in order to test different relations to the engine.

The dyno pump, supplies the brake to regulate the load on the motor. At the brake outlet, the water discharges to the tank located inside the dyno structure. As optional, an engine starting system and command desk can be added.

DKI - Flywheel bench
DKI dyno has a flywheel with enough inertia to perform excellent quality tests. The wheel is mounted on anti-reverse bearings that disconnect the steering wheel from the engine at the end of the tests. The dyno has an intermediate axle that simulates the wheel axle of vehicles to simulate real conditions to test the transmission.
Coupling to the engine is by chain with a guard and an interchangeable gear in order to test different relations to the engine. The dyno includes a universal motor mounting base.
As optional, an engine starting system and the command and control desk can be added.

SMAC data acquisition system

This system works with the highest technology, It has easy-to-use software with a large number of tools for visualization and analysis of tests. The system allow to add modules so the number of data channels can be expanded to add accessory sensors as much as desired. Communication is done through fiber optics avoiding all kinds of electrical noise problems, which is very important in a dynamometer environment, usually susceptible to this phenomenon.
