We offer different transmission configuration dynamometers: inline, V-shaped, and angled. They are suitable for a wide range of heavy-duty transmissions for industrial or military use, whether automatic or servo-actuated.
The dynamometers are designed to facilitate the coupling, alignment, and testing of transmissions in a quick and easy manner. The equipment performs automatic or manual tests to evaluate the performance and potential failures that may arise during transmission repairs.
It features an oil supply pump when it comes the requirement to test transmissions that do not have their own pump. This can also allow to test hydraulic engines and cylinders.
Among the accessories, there is a closed circuit with cooling system for oil flow of the torque converters, allowing the evaluation of both the inlet and outlet pressure, as well as the flow rate and temperature. Additionally, an oil storage tank can be installed to supply both the main pump and the accessory lubrication pump. This oil volume is cooled through an oil/air heat exchanger.
• Ease of transmission connectivity: Splined and flanged input for fixed or floating converter options.
• Output connection via cardan shaft, avoid the requirement for precise alignment between the brake and transmission.
• Operation in both clockwise and counterclockwise rotation up to 4000 RPM.
• Braking capacity on the output shaft to check performance under load conditions during operation.
• Oil flow measurement in the converter, cooling, and filtration of the oil.
• Measurement of transmission control pressures.
• Measurement and control of transmission temperature.
• Configurable digital and analog outputs for interaction with transmission actuators.
• SAE #00 base flange for coupling with the largest transmissions available on the market.
• Adapter flanges for SAE #0, #1/2, #1, #2, and #3 transmissions.
• Requires minimal space, Input power of 380 VAC 3 PH 50-60 Hz.
• Adapter kits for all transmissions available upon engineering request.
• Provides printed reports (customized with your company logo) of the test results.
The SMAC software perform tests completely automatically, following predefined protocols. The system include a big amount of sensors such as RPM, pressure, temperature, flow, torque and allows data to be stored and reports to be generated based on the results obtained. The screen displays real-time data from the sensors and generates historical graphs of the complete test values.
• RPM analyzer for gear shifts (automatic)
• Test of upshifts and downshifts with 100% throttle (with or without load)
• Application of dynamic loads on the output shaft
• Torque sensor for the transmission output
• Locating leaks in the shaft seals
• Identifying leaks in the clutch
• Checking noise/vibration
• Detecting mechanical jams
• Verification of main pressure, clutch pressure and converter pressure
• Monitoring converter flow and temperature
• Determining input and output pressure of the converter
