The BRF line is specially designed for vehicle testing and diagnosis. They allow to generate real running conditions to detect faulirues or verify repairs without leaving the workshop. This way, risky and difficult tests on road are avoided. The equipment is also a tool for measuring torque and power on the wheel, the engine and revealing transmission losses.
Each model of the BRF line is sized and manufactured considering intensive use with the most demanding loading conditions in order to offer a reliable, robust, low-maintenance solution with minimal installation requirements.
Configurations are presented for light vehicles and several options for heavy vehicles according to the requirement, considering single or double drive. For double drive, the roller trains have mechanical linkage with a system of high-resistance toothed belts to ensure the same speed every wheel and prevent the truck's integral control system from being activated during the tests.
The system generates charge with air-cooled eddy current brakes, this avoids the assembly of a water circuit. Only preparation of the pit is required to place the dynamometer chassis and the equipment is ready to operate. The entry and exit of vehicles is carried out with a pneumatic lift. Each part of the BRF is designed to ensure a very long useful life and minimal maintenance requirements.
SMAC is a high-tech data acquisition and control system developed from our long experience working with industrial application dynamometers. Based on a robust and modular PLC, the system acquires the readings of the different installed sensors without age limit. The system includes a mobile command post where the operation of the dynamometer and all auxiliary elements is controlled, ensuring the safety of operators and equipment.
Windows®-based operating software offers flexibility to generate different test protocols, this system provides the operator with a reliable, efficient and accurate tool to control test conditions, while providing quick information in an easy-to-interpret visual format. It allows the development of control conditions for driving speed or applied torque to generate any real driving situation on the roller bench, simulating aerodynamic load or slopes.
